These classes (Cricket I - IV) focus on topics surrounding daily life and have a combination of language and culture elements.

This level is aimed at 4 and 5 year old children who can function in the classroom without their parents. It will provide introductory instruction in Mandarin organized around the themes of "Daily Life". Children who take Cricket I this year will be ready to move on up to Cricket II next year.

Like Cricket I, this class provides instruction in Mandarin organized around the theme of "daily life" in China and the U.S., but instructional activities are targeted at the 5 - 6 age level, and the teacher will begin to introduce students to the Chinese writing system.

Cricket III continues the "Daily Life" theme, with a focus on activities outside the home, such as shopping, attending school, and going out to eat.

Students in Cricket IV will continue to hone their Mandarin skills, and will be introduced to a number of Chinese cultural traditions, such as Tai Chi, acupuncture, etc.
